Upstate SC Mountain Engagement Session at Caesar’s Head

Upstate South Carolina Mountain Engagement Session at Caesar’s Head

Chase, Haley and I decided on sassafras mountain for their engagement session. They wanted an Upstate SC Mountain Engagement session with a view. None of us had ever been there, but the pictures looked gorgeous. The day came for their enagement session and I head to the mountain. I get about a mile away from the top of the mountain and the gate is closed. The road past the gate was covered in ice and cleary unsafe. I grab my phone to text Haley but I have NO SERVICE. I walk around trying to get atleast a bar so I can text them, still no service. So, I drive all the way down the mountain until I find service and can send a text. I find service about 15 minutes down the mountain, text Haley and look up spots near by. While waiting to hear from Haley, I find Caesar’s Head State Park and it’s only 30 minutes away. We could make it and still have 45 minutes to shoot.  Communication with Haley and Chase wasn’t great because we were both on the mountain with little to no service. So, I decided to drive back up to the top of the mountain where the gate was closed to see if Haley & Chase were there. THEY WERE THERE ! I get out of the car and let them know what I found near by. They were so happy that I had plan to save the day. Going home wasn’t an option for Haley, Chase and I. We headed to Caesar’s Head and caught the last bit of golden hour, blue hour and an awesome sunet ! It was cold but SO beautiful.

  1. Okay, WOW. These are stunning photos!!! You captured these two so beautifully. That light. And that champagne spray! hahaha so amazing, thanks for sharing!

  2. I think the first black and white one is my favorite. I action shot of the bubbly pop is a cool capture. These have such a great fall feel to them.
